Small Business Addresses Challenges Of Relocating

Relocating? It’s an exciting and stressful time. There are many questions associated with a move; where to, where will I work, who will I be friends with, will I like the neighborhood, can I afford it, what is the best restaurant? These are just the start of many questions that continue throughout the process.

Knowing the stress that a move can create, there is one resource that can ease the stress of moving and assist with the transition. Landi Spearman to the rescue! Landi created a disruptive business model to address an unmet need in the real estate industry. She founded Destination 4 Relocation, a small business that offers concierge services and connects clients to the resources needed so they are free to concentrate on their family new job in lifestyle. This concierge approach transforms the stressful process of relocation into a managed project by coordinating every planning, logistical, and settling-in resource needed to make the transition smooth and stress-free.

Landi is a recognized Top 1% Real Estate Professional graduate of the Texas REALTOR® Leadership Program (TRLP). Prior to real estate, Landi spent more than 10 years working for Fortune 500 companies, successfully increasing profit revenues, leading major project initiatives, and managing human resources. While working in these positions, she noticed that companies would relocate their employees but not consider the move’s impacts to the family and their lifestyle. This led Landi to her business idea. Landi decided to design and implement a business that offered customized relocation project management for her customers, to help them adjust more quickly to their new city of Houston.

Landi assists her customers with the many unknowns of moving to a new city; the best places to eat, best schools, interior design and furniture store recommendations based on the customers’ style and so much more. Landi’s favorite part of her business is the collaboration with other businesses. She works with various vendors and companies to provide recommendations to places where she knows her customers will be well taken care of.

During Small Business Month, Landi was invited by a fellow entrepreneur and small business owner to attend The UPS Store Small Biz Salute event in Houston. Landi saw this as an opportunity to network with Houston entrepreneurs and to enter the Small Biz Pitch contest to win $5,000 for her business. At the event, Landi was one of four selected to pitch her business to the crowd. With only three minutes to share her vision and her enthusiasm, Landi went home with a big check to get her plans started.

Winning $5,000 helps Destination 4 Relocation better their business tremendously by providing funding needed for the 7-person team to launch a new branding and marketing campaign. Landi also plans to develop a custom interactive module website and mobile app which will transform her customer relocation experience from stressful to hassle free.

The UPS Store was thrilled to provide Landi with a $5,000 check to continue to grow her business. We wish her the best of luck on her endeavor. Whether is across town or across the country for your home or office, Destination 4 Relocation helps clients quickly get back to normal." Call 832-953-4347 or email
